DibbsBarker is a member of AusBiotech – Australia’s Biotechnology Industry Association representing human health, agricultural, medical device, bioinformatics, environmental and industrial sectors in Biotechnology http://www.ausbiotech.org.
Other participation
On behalf of the Australian Government a member of our Group visited bodies such as the Department of Treasury in the United States, the Department of Finance Revenue in Canada and the Departments of Research and Technology in France and Germany for talks on R&D, taxation policy and industry development issues. This member was appointed to a Working Group of the Prime Minister’s Science Engineering and Innovation Council in 2002 and co-authored a report on how to unleash Australia's Entrepreneurial Potential. The report included recommendations for improving the likelihood of success for companies in the high growth sector.
Group member Wendy Jacobs is the current voluntary director of the Microsearch Foundation. In this position she has gained experience in a wide range of commercial issues which confront the biotech industry. These include employment and confidentiality, supply and distribution, funding, collaborative research, the creation, protection and transfer of intellectual property and the regulatory environment – animal ethics and approval issues.
