Colin is a Special Counsel in our Insurance Services Group.
Colin has been practising law in the Australian Capital Territory and NSW since 1973. He commenced with Dibbs in 1977 and was appointed Litigation Partner in 1981.
Colin manages an extensive litigation practice specialising in public liability, medical negligence, professional indemnity, product liability, school liability and CTP.
Colin’s extensive experience in these areas involves him having specialist knowledge of the law of negligence, practice and procedure, evidence, contract, conflict of laws, forum shopping and cross-vesting legislation.
In addition he has provided insurance advice on risk management to his insurer clients and has presented seminars to them on many aspects involving damages claims and their application in the Courts of the Australian Capital Territory.
Colin regularly keeps his client insurers up-to-date on developments in all aspects of the law relating to their areas of concern. He is a current member of the Australian Insurance Lawyers Association, the Australian Insurance Institute and the Complaints Committee of the Law Society of the Australian Capital Territory.
