Emma is our Disputes & Litigation Practice Group Leader.
Emma has over 20 years experience in commercial disputes and litigation including government, insurance, commercial contractual disputes, property, misleading and deceptive conduct, copyright, franchise disputes and financial services. Emma has acted for clients in the financial services sector for approximately 16 years.
Emma acts for leading Australian banks, international banks and a major Australian regional bank.
Emma is actively engaged in both formal and informal alternative dispute resolution on behalf of her clients. She has been an accredited mediator with LEADR since 1997.
Emma’s many years of experience in providing litigation and dispute resolution services to the corporate sector, as well as her management qualifications (Emma has a Masters in Law and Management), means that she is commercially orientated and acutely aware of client’s commercial imperatives, as well as the need to effectively manage risk.
Emma understands the special needs of large corporates when dealing with disputes, in particular the need to resolve disputes in a cost effective way and to also manage risk to a client’s brand which often arises in litigation.
