Fay is a partner in our People & Workplace team within our broader Corporate group.
Fay specialises in employment and industrial relations, and has 14 years of experience acting for clients including SMEs and large employers. Her client base covers a wide range of industries such as manufacturing, professional services, entertainment and aged care.
Fay has extensive experience advising clients on legal issues affecting the workplace including industrial bargaining and disputes with unions, compliance, performance management, workplace health & safety, discrimination, bullying and harassment, workplace change, risk management and disciplinary matters. Fay focuses on the strategic and business imperatives of the organisations she services while ensuring compliance requirements are met, including by educating HR & C-Suite leaders in compliance training sessions as needed.
Throughout her legal career, Fay has represented employers in proceedings before State and Federal courts and industrial tribunals. She has acted in major industrial disputes, proceedings brought by regulators, restraints matters, unlawful termination and unfair dismissal claims, adverse action claims, and discrimination claims.
Fay has been widely recognised as a leading practitioner, including in the 2014 NAB Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards where she was awarded ‘Emerging Leader in Private Sector’. In 2013, Fay won the ‘Highly Commended’ Special Judging Panel Award at the Women Lawyer’s Association of NSW Achievement Awards.
