Jane is a partner in our Real Estate & Construction group and a member of the DibbsBarker Board.
Jane’s expertise lies in construction, infrastructure and renewable energy projects, real estate development and utility contracts. Her extensive transaction experience covers the entire life cycle of a project, from inception/tender phase through to project delivery including contract administration, with a focus on minimising the likelihood of disputes.
Jane works with a range of private sector clients including developers, large listed property trusts, contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, banks and insolvency practitioners. She also acts for a number of local and international companies on procurement and alternative delivery models for proponents contracting with government, including providing advice on the government tender framework, project risk minimisation, tender documentation, the rights of tenderers and the obligations of government agencies.
Jane has extensive experience advising on and negotiating utility agreements for gas, electricity, telecommunications and other utility supply arrangements, particularly for clients who have intense utility usage. With a sound knowledge of the regulatory framework (particularly in electricity and gas), she has a track record of advising alternative energy sellers in navigating multi-jurisdictional issues in relation to electricity generation and retail exemptions.
Jane is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), an associate member of the Australian Institute of Energy (AIE) and an enthusiastic participant of the DibbsBarker pro-bono practice.
