John joined DibbsBarker in 2001 and is a Partner in Canberra’s Commercial group. John practises primarily in the areas of corporate and personal insolvency and commercial litigation.

John regularly acts for Canberra’s insolvency practitioners. He advises them in relation to the recovery of voidable transactions under the Corporations Act 2001 and the Bankruptcy Act 1966. He also prepares deeds of company arrangement and personal insolvency agreements and acts for insolvency practitioners in transactions involving the sale of assets of insolvent corporate and personal estates.

John also conducts debt recovery proceedings on behalf of banks, non-bank lenders and a Commonwealth Government agency.
