Mark's expertise is in the fields of insolvency, commercial disputes and litigation and occupational health and safety.
Mark’s insolvency and litigation experience includes corporate administrations, bankruptcy, debt recovery, and large-scale commercial litigation with a focus on Corporations Act matters. He advises and acts on a variety of Supreme and Federal Court matters for numerous insolvency practitioners, as well as for major corporations, their directors and shareholders. He also advises companies and their directors on the most appropriate solutions to their financial position, whether it be assisting in the recovery of large amounts, or restructuring the business of the company via a formal insolvency scheme.
DibbsBarker’s insolvency team was named as a “leading firm” in an independent peer survey in Australian Legal Business magazine in 2009, and Mark was “considered by many clients to be an expert in the field.”
He is known for his timely, practical and commercial advice.
Mark also practices in the area of occupational health and safety. The firm has been one of the prosecution panel solicitors for the NSW WorkCover Authority, and Mark has also acted for a wide variety of commercial clients in defending WorkCover prosecutions. He also acts for the Commonwealth Government Authority, Comcare, relating to the Commonwealth OH&S Act.
