Mark is a Partner in our Insurance Services Group and a member of our National Insurance Industry Group.
Mark has almost eight years experience in the defence of insurance claims with particular experience in the conduct of claims brought under the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002 and the Civil Liability Act 2003. Mark also represents and advises self-insurers in all aspects of claims pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 for work related injuries at both the statutory and common law levels. Mark provides advice to domestic and overseas insurers in relation to policy interpretation and indemnity issues, and acts on behalf of insurers in relation to property damage and product liability claims.
Mark also acts on behalf of large corporate clients in providing advice in relation to obligations, and particularly in respect of investigations and prosecutions, pursuant to the Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995, together with the similarly framed Electrical Safety Act 2002 and Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999, and other related legislation. Mark also appears on behalf of corporations at coronial inquests.
In all aspects of his practice, Mark focuses upon providing prompt commercial and practical advice tailored towards effective dispute resolution.
