Stuart is a partner in our Intellectual Property, Technology & Competition team within our broader Corporate group.
As part of his responsibility for the firm’s branding and trade mark practice, Stuart advises on all aspects of branding and trade mark law, including the clearance, prosecution, registration, opposition, non-use removal and enforcement of trade marks. He also regularly advises on Australian Consumer Law matters, packaging and advertising reviews, due diligence, domain name proceedings and manages a number of Australian and international trade mark portfolios.
He has acted for a range of well-known and sophisticated brand owners including Breville, Body Science Properties, Dexus, Hoyts Corporation, Mothercare UK, Nine Entertainment Company, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and 3P Learning.
Stuart is a regular presenter on branding and trade mark law and his thought leadership has been recognised through publication in The Law Society Journal, The Licensing Journal, Keeping Good Companies, Journal of Governance Institute of Australia, the Internet Law Bulletin and the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin.
