His area of expertise is in insurance and workers' compensation law, dispute resolution and personal injuries litigation.
Stuart has earned a reputation for his medico-legal knowledge, serving as the lawyer member of the Dental Board of Queensland from 2007 until national registration commenced in 2010. He remains involved in the regulation of the dental profession as a public member of two Queensland committees of the Dental Board of Australia.
