                    <description><![CDATA[The Corporations Amendment (Corporate Reporting Reform) Act 2010 (Cth) (Amendment Act) received Royal Assent on 28 June 2010.  The Amendment Act amends the provisions of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) (Act) with respect to financial reporting obligations of companies limited by guarantee and parent entities, the mechanisms by which a financial year end date can be changed and the distribution of dividends.  These changes, excluding those applicable only to companies limited by guarantee, are described in more detail.]]></description>

                    <title><![CDATA[Opportunity Knocks for Wholesale Purchasers of Electricity]]></title>
                    <description><![CDATA[On 28 June 2010 the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Amendment Act 2010 was enacted in Parliament.  This Act is part of the Government’s stated aims to reach the 20% Renewable Energy Target (RET). Under the Act the RET is set to increase by over four times from 9,500 giggawatt hours to 45,000 giggawatt hours. 

The provisions of the Act come into effect on 1 January 2011. ]]></description>
