We advise our clients on the establishment of corporate governance structures to promote integrity and transparency in business operations and decision making. We apply principles of good governance within the context of a client’s size and stage of development, rather than promulgating a “one size fits all” approach, and help them adapt their structures as they grow.
A core component of this area involves advising on directors’ and officers’ duties and liabilities under the Corporations Act and other legislation. This includes advising on frameworks that provide assurance to Boards and senior management that risks are being identified and managed at the right level, allowing the organisation to focus on its business priorities and take up new opportunities.
Our commitment in this area is evidenced by our sponsorship of a major research project by the UTS Centre for Corporate Governance, “The Changing Roles and Responsibilities of Company Boards and Directors”.
