The Summer Clerk Program is your opportunity to gain exposure to the practical issues in a law firm, get to know Dibbs up close and see why we’re no ordinary law firm. Our expectation is that you become part of the everyday life of the firm.
As a summer clerk we’re keen to give you the opportunity to participate in work across all the firm’s practice groups and explore your particular areas of interest. It’s a terrific opportunity to test your interest and firm up your understanding of how a major law firm operates.
After a positive experience with the program, we aim for our summer clerks to continue on as part-time research clerks during their final year at university. This has proven to be a rewarding career path for our research clerks as they were then able to progress through to our Trainee Solicitor Program.

Brisbane
As a summer clerk in our Brisbane office you will embark on a four week Summer Clerk Program to experience working life as a lawyer is each of our practice groups.
Each summer clerk is assigned a partner, senior associate, and solicitor who have volunteered to work with you. They become your source of information, guidance and professional and practical assistance while you are with Dibbs. This is a great opportunity to ask them many questions about the profession and the firm.
